On Tuesday, March 17, at 4 p.m., Cameron Nielson, a former standout from Cottonwood High School, contributed to the Utah Utes’ 8-5 victory over the Washington State Cougars in an NCAA Division I baseball game.

The contest was held at Smith’s Ballpark. It marked the teams’ first meeting this season.

Nielson surrendered one earned run across three innings and notched two strikeouts.

The Utes are set to play their next game on Friday, March 20, at UC Baseball Stadium against the Cincinnati Bearcats.
