The cast of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" will stage a "crosswalk musical" on Saturday, July 9, at 9 a.m. at the intersection of 1485 W. 4800 South.
Put on by the Taylorsville Arts Council, it will be patterned after a similar crosswalk musical that the Taylorsville cast of Mamma Mia! performed in 2019. The event is meant to draw attention to the show and mimic the "Crosswalk the Musical" productions by actor/television host James Corden on his “The Late Late Show” on CBS. Like Corden’s skits, the Taylorsville Technicolor Dreamcoat cast will assemble at the curbside before sprinting out into the road as the light turns red.
With traffic stopped at the light, the cast will then dance and perform songs from the show in the crosswalk before the light turns green again. Watch the crosswalk event and then see the actual show at the Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center, July 11 to 16.
