Utah Utes edge Grand Canyon Antelopes 1-0 behind Cottonwood alum Cameron Nielson

At 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, the Utah Utes, featuring former Cottonwood High School star Cameron Nielson, secured a 1-0 victory over the Grand Canyon Antelopes in an NCAA Division I baseball contest.

Smith’s Ballpark was the site for the game, marking the second time this season the Utes met the Antelopes. In their previous contest on Friday, March 6, the Utes claimed a 9-0 win.

Nielson contributed one inning on the mound and tallied two strikeouts.

The Utes are slated to face the Antelopes again on Sunday, March 8, at Smith’s Ballpark.
